About Raven's Attic The concept came about from my need to have practical ritual items. I couldn't find any store that could provide the proper tools I required for my practice. My spouse encouraged me to develop a deep rooted passion for creating with wood. I started with furniture, then moved on to creating my own ritual tools. My goal is to offer other practitioners a full line of products and supplies all in one location. Our store is based on the need to provide individuals with tools and supplies to enable the practice of any spiritual pursuit, be it Pagan, Wiccan practitioner, Occultist etc... Our store is meant to be a source of practicality, with full access to herbs, oils, athames, altars, robes, chalices, divination tools, practical items that aid in the creation and the sustaining of a new age lifestyle.
Vision Statement: To be the best New Age/Spiritual/Occult product supplier in Ottawa.
About Raven How did I become a twice-initiated Witch? I haven't always been a spiritual person. This journey of mine started in 1999 after the death of my father, when I came to the realization that the person I was - was not who I wanted to be. My Christian upbringing was clashing with my instincts as I was going through my grieving period. I needed to ground myself and the answers I needed from the traditional sources were not filling the void. So I inadvertently began my quest. I started researching and reading books about philosophy and mythology, discussing with others about faith and spirituality. I wanted to know why world history and social conditioning was contradictory to what I felt inside, so I began seeking the truth, and the facts.
One day, just as I was thinking about it, I heard a noise outside my back door. I noticed a baby raven that had fallen on my doorstep, probably trying to take flight, but did'nt succeed. I went to it and it came to me trustingly. I brought it inside and called the Wildlife Bird Sanctuary to see what I should do. They told me to place it back outside, and its parents would eventually come.
After 20 minutes or so... the baby raven took flight.
